Galil and TomoTherapy Target Cancerous Tumors with Precision

Galil Motion Control provides the motion controller for TomoTherapy's HiArt(tm) radiation center for treatment of cancerous tumors. Galil's DMC-2153 5-axis motion controller positions the patient couch to within +/-1 mm accuracy so that the patient can be treated with a continuous 360 degree delivery of helical IMRT. To accommodate TomoTherapy's needs, Galil customized their controller so it could easily accept all of the SSI devices for precise position feedback.
