show that the native creatures are surviving and adapting. They are beautiful birds with their bright blue feathery coat and unique sounding songs. It is therefore not surprising that many want to attract these eastern bluebirds into their gardens but due to the rare amounts of this breed, caution must be taken in the following areas: Environment - Eastern Bluebirds love spacious areas for acquiring food, for example parks and countryside's. On the other hand, if you live near to land that has a lot of space, the Eastern creation will simply fly to it when they please. They find it easier to build shelter in deceased trees and so nest boxes would be an excellent investment to get on their good side! Menu - The Eastern Bluebirds favorite meal of the day are insects so there are plenty around and on top of that...it's free! However sprinkling the plants with insecticides needs to be done with great concern and as sparingly as possible because this kills the insects which are the Eastern Bluebirds main source of food and especially in the wintry weather when they are limited. The Eastern Bluebirds enjoy eating from native plants which produce fruits in the right seasons. Native plants is an ordinary happening within wildlife so this means the birds will have increased choice for shelter and food so this is also something to take into consideration if your garden lacks a variety of plants that are different shapes and sizes. Some great flowers to look out for are the American Holly plant and the Eastern Red Cedar as these will not only attract the Eastern Bluebirds, but give them a sense of their home and ease when in your garden which will increase the probability of them nesting there also.A Taste of the Tropics: Eastern Bluebirds
