I have a 12 year old male cat. My house has underfloor heating. When the heating is on, my cat loves to sleep on the hot spots. It does not take long though for him to start scratching and licking himself excessively. Im sure it is caused by the underfloor heating. What could be the problem? Can anyone come up with a solution other than turning off the heating? This would be hard to achieve as I do not live alone, and getting people to comply would be difficult. He is on salmon oil to prevent dry skin.
