Basement waterproofing - Foot drains OK around oil tank?

I am moving forward with addressing a water problem in my basement. One company performed an assessment and wants to put in an interior perimeter drainage system, which is fine, but rather than move the oil tank that's against the wall, they want to put in foot drains around the tank. Another company said that they'd move the oil tank and build the full trench up against the wall. My question is...what are the risks of going with these foot drains?
