How to Make Exercising More Fun

Exercise ... yuk! Who likes to exercise? To most of us, that is a four letter word. Let's face it, exercise is not at the top of most people's to do list. After work, running errands, helping the kids with homework, fixing dinner for
the family, and cleaning, who has time? Furthermore, who has the energy to do anything except watch about thirty minutes of television? Well, not many of us. However, if we could find some way of making exercise not seem so much like a chore, we might actually do a lot more of it.Well, the next time you are sitting down watching some program on television, try to incorporate some hula hooping into your evening. You can start out slowly and just hula hoop during the commercials. Then, start increasing the time you hula hoop until you build up to an entire half hour program. It's not as hard as you might think. Plus, hula hooping is fun. It is a good way to trim that waistline that we all get, and it is a good way to get the old heart rate up. Isn't that what the exercise gurus say we need to focus on? Hula hooping is also a goodactivity for you to get the family involved in if you can. You could have competitions to see who can hula hoop the longest. Or see who can hula hoop using the most body parts (it's not just for the waist you know...you canuse the hula hoop on each leg, your arms, your neck). Before you know it, the entire family is in shape. Another idea you can try is to use a jump rope. Again, you don't have to jump rope alone, you can get the whole family involved. If you have a large family, you could do double dutch. Jump roping is good for the heart and italso helps you tone and strengthen the muscles in your legs. Of course, just don't double dutch inside, or you'll end up giving yourself another chore to do!Try these two suggestions out and see if you can see a difference. The results may not come over night, but none of them really do, but if you will just stick with it, they will come. Plus, if you involve your family in the exercise program, you'll be getting to spend more quality time with them. It's a win win situation. How to Make Exercising More Fun
