My home has sold & realitor is having a termite inspection done.?

She stated that every home she has sold in the neighborhood have all had termites. My neighborhood is only about 7 years old its still developing. I have never seen any termites around here and thought this was not sounding right. Is the guy she's using making this up? Hoping peple use him to treat for termites, because it has to be done to complete the sell. That would cost another 0.00 Any pointers on termites would be appreciated.
