Suboxone Treatment Question?

Can a doctor that prescribes Suboxone as part of a treatment plan for opiod addiction, kick anyone out at any time if the doctor wants to?
Also, Are doctors that prescribe Suboxone not supposed to call in this medicine if you need it urgently?
I am asking because my friend is having some doubts about this treatment option...
and the doctor he goes to is not always great to have for an addiction issue...such as this doctor has gone on vacation and been gone longer than planned so my friend had to withdrawl since he ran out of his suboxone. If the doctor was back or had an on call nurse then he would of gotten his medicine he is prescribe and wouldn't of had to withdrawl do the doctor being gone.
He has had some issues with how the doctor treats him and I am just wanting to help him through this hard, expensive process.
Your answers and any help about the rights patients have, what Suboxone prescribing doctors can and can't do for there patients, and anything else helps alot.
Thanks again
If you need to know the state is Washington.
-Thanks everyone:)
To answer #1- he has thought of doing the Methadone treatment and feels it wouldn't be good since he also abused methadone like he did with other opiates.
So we didn't think that would be a good choice but who knows mabye it could work. I have heard good and bad about all treatments, I guess cause all medications for people addiction issues can be bad to some and good to others. Everyone has a different mind frame...
Thanks for your thought:)
