Can you Take Klonopin without dosing down Ativan?

Go figure, yes I am a worry person, and I read that when on Benzos you need to dose down to avoid serious effects. So if my Doctor decided to give me Klonopin today, because of its longer lasting over Ativan, do I need to dose down the Ativan first or can I take it tonight? I forgot to ask her and now I would have to wait 4 days to talk with her about it. Anybody know?
