Depo Provera?

I went off Depo Provera in April of this year. I had to take Depo because any other birth control that contained estrogen had bad side effects with me, and I had ovarian cysts at the time that my GYN said Depo would get rid of. I gained 24 pounds between January 10 and February 24. I've only just now managed to get most of it off. The problem is, since July 2, I have had a period every other week. I started again this week, marking my seventh period since July 2. Is this normal? Or should I see a doctor? I'm on a medication I can't take hormones or diuretics with... I did actually try diuretics and detox pills already, and they didn't work.
