I need to know if something is wrong. I quit smoking and this is hell...?

I quit smoking 5 days ago. I have been smoking for 10 years. In my sixth year I quit for 4 months and it really wasn't a big deal. This time around it's horrible. I am aware that the chemical addiction and withdrawal symptoms normally ends in 24 to 48 hours, but for the last three days I have been going through the worst withdrawal symptoms I have ever experienced. To be blunt, this is far worse than cocaine detox. Due to other prescriptions I am taking I can not use the patch or chant-ix. (As advised by my physician. I have a migraine level headache that not even imatrex has managed to beat down, my hands are shaking so badly its taking me two or three tries to type a word correctly, the muscles in my legs and arms are cramping on and off, I cant sleep, I am sweating through a pair of dry cloths every few hours, and the smell of food makes me sick to my stomach. I keep waiting for this to ease and Im telling myself I can push through it. I'm well into the stage of worry and I think I need to see a different doctor, according to mine this is normal. Has any one else been through this and had a similar experience? How long did it take to get to the other side? Do you have any remedies maybe someone passed to you? I need to know then this is going to ease up. Please, any information or ideas would be very appreciated.
