Ideas to Increase Daily Exercise

Time is the number one reason why most people do not exercise. People today lead busy lives, and between work, home, and all of their other commitments, there is nothing left for exercise. Did you know, however, that doing exercise will increase energy levels and actually infuse more life
�into the day? Adding exercise really does make a difference.Here are some really great ideas that will add more movement to your day. Some of these can be done without other people realizing what you are doing:* Take a walk around your office building, the park, or indoor mall the last 10 minutes of lunch hour.* While in the grocery line, do some calf raises. Hold the handle of your basket and lift up onto your toes. Lower your heels down until they almost touch the ground, then lift back up onto your toes.* Perform neck and shoulder rolls while sitting at your office desk.* Take an aerobics class before or after work at the local gym.* Draw circles with your non-driving foot while stopped at the traffic light until the light turns green.* Grab that water bottle and do tricep kickbacks. Take the arm to a 90 degree angle, then lift the arm straight back, moving the water bottle behind you. Do 10 - 15 repetitions on each side.* Do squats while cooking or washing dishes. Side leg lifts work well also.* If you have a favorite show, do pushups (either on your toes in military style or on your knees in modified style) during each commercial break. Stop when the show comes on again.* Instead of watching your show, put a 30 minute fitness DVD into the DVD player.
