OK why do people keep saying try subutex , is this a pain med. or just to get off pain meds?

I still have pain , im not a addict I just need help with Pian , But people keep telling ma about this drug subutex . what is it , and is it for Pian or what. Or I they just telling me to stop the pain meds and just dont care that I have A disease and not care , and are just Judging me .
