Patella Femoral Syndrome Help?

Also called Patella Tendonitis (I have a dual diagnosis)> Mine's due form muscle development because I've been an equestrian for over 12 years.
Does anyone have an effective treatment for the dull and not so dull pain caused by this?
I do stretches daily, and an on 800mg's of Ibuprophen daily, but they dont always seem to help.
