Playing a High School Sport: My Fight Against Being Lazy and Overweight

Sports: they're tough on a person's body and mind, but they keep the person focused on other things such as his or her work. That was the main point behind me going out for soccer in my senior year of high school at Mater Dei High School. Our
soccer team wasn't very good; I already knew that because my friend Ryan had been playing on the team since freshman year. After the soccer season was over Ryan told how the team was losing a lot of people and needed all the help they could get. So I thought about it and told him I would go out for the team. I wanted to prove to everyone and myself I could complete the task that stood in front of me.When I was going out for the soccer team a lot interested me. The first thing was that I was very lazy and saw this would be a good opportunity for me to overcome this problem. I was just sitting at home doing nothing all day, no exercise and no job which tells you I had no money. I hadn't played a sport since freshman year, I found out when I told my classmates that I was playing they laughed at me, so I was coming in with a chip on my shoulder.Playing a High School Sport: My Fight Against Being Lazy and Overweight
