our review: 1) WE NEED A TRIGGER 2) AS THE BATTLE CONTINUES, A SUPPORT SYSTEM IS VITAL 3) LEARN FROM PAST FAILURES AND ADAPT AS NEEDED 4) YOU CAN DO IT! WE NEED A TRIGGER: What is a trigger? For our purposes, a trigger is an event that prompts us to take an action that we've been avoiding. A trigger is not always a pleasant thing to experience, but the results are almost always positive. Take, for example, what happened to Rocky. At the end of Rocky I he had declared to the world that he had officially retired from boxing. Concerns about his health, and some heavy prompting from his new wife Adrian, forced Rocky to look for a new line of work. The trigger that pulled Rocky back into boxing was his opponent, Apollo Creed (the Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World). If you'll remember, Rocky gained his 15 minutes of fame by 'going the distance' against Apollo in the first movie. In Rocky II, Apollo starts a vicious advertising campaign to lure Rocky out of retirement. He takes out full-page ads in the local newspaper taunting Rocky as 'The Italian Chicken', which is a play off Rocky's nickname 'The Italian Stallion'. To add insult to injury, Apollo takes some shots on national television too: "Look, I know a lot of people out there want to see me in a rematch with a timid fellow who calls himself the Italian Stallion. But this man does not have the honor to meet me in the ring.....the bum's hiding. The bum's running. He doesn't want to face me. He's scared." To make matters worse, Rocky has at this point in the story taken a menial job as a janitor in his old gym. Boxers who used to look up to Rocky as an inspiration now see him humbled by sweeping the floors and carrying buckets. An example of how this created another trigger for Rocky to get back into boxing came when someone called out to Rocky on the street "Hey, you really sweep good, man."Rocky Balboa Diet and Weight Loss Plan (Part 2)
