is marijuana really addictive and how would you go about curing that addiction?

my best friend says she wants to stop smoking it, but she cant. thinks she is addicted. is this even possible? i didnt think it was, but she does, and i dont know how to help her other than rehab. i dont think its that bad though but i dont know much about it either
