Is suboxone a good treatment for sombody that still has a chronic back pain problem.?

Currently getting treated with hydrocodone have been taking it for 4yrs now. Had disc problem that got better but back pain still there. Also back muscles always tight and knotted up. Doctor wants to try suboxone . As it is now my back hurts every minute of everyday unless i'm on pain medicine and still it hurts on medicine. Anways is the pain relieve in the suboxone good enough so that i am not in pain. And will i get sick on it. It will still be awile before --like months before my back gets better. So i will still need pain releive-- is the pain releive in suboxone as good or better then hydrocodone{most important} that i want to know.
Tramadol i has used it. it is like taking a cup of water and trying to put a house thats on fire out where the fire department is needed.
