Far and Away: A scrappy Irish occupant farmer hooks up, in doubtful style, with the comparably feisty daughter of a prosperous landowner, and together they travel to America to seek their final fate in the 1893 Oklahoma land rush. Superlative platform for Tom and Nicole, who are both attractive and involving; the problem is a drastic absence of good dialogue to fill the gaps between fight scenes. Cast includes Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman, Thomas Gibson, Robert Prosky, Barbara Babcock, Cohn Meaney, and Rance Howard. (140 minutes, 1992)
Talladega Nights: The Battle o Ricky Bobby: This is a crazy comedy with NASCAR racing as its platform. Ricky Bobby has become one of the best drivers in NASCAR. When an accident puts him out of action, he loses his nerve for racing. With nothing but racing in his life, Ricky Bobby must find a way to overcome his fear, and return to his championship form.
Mrs. Henderson Presents: The widowed Dench plans to affirm her new found liberty by purchasing a London show, The Windmill, and striking on the notion of orchestrating nude magazine. With the approaching of WW2, the show becomes a refuge for cadets and battle-worn Londoners. Cast includes Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins, Can Youthful, Christopher Visitor, Kelly Reilly, Thelma Barlow, Anna Brewster, and Rosalind Halstead. (103 minutes, 2005)
Only You: Likable confection in reference to a youthful female who invests her entire life looking for her perfect mate whose name was summoned up on a Ouija board. Alakazam the Great: Japanese-made animation is excellent for entertaining the kids. The tale is focused around the supernatural baboon's ambitious ventures, from a bullfight in the pit of a volcano to a mythical battle with Hercules.
