Been married for 13 yrs in Ca and husband has threatened to quit his job if judge orders him to pay alimony.?

We have dual citizenship so he feels he can leave the U.S & go to where we come from and there is nothing the law can do to him. I've been really sick and have been put on Social Security for permanent disability and last Friday he was given a bad diagnosis too, so now he has a reason NOT to work as well as an excuse to quit. I filed for divorce last year but retracted because I just couldn't go through with it, my father had just died and on top of being severely ill, I was hoping things would have worked out but they are not. We have no kids, I paid an attorney k and retracted b4 he was even served, I now feel with him being ill too and with the dual citizenship there is really nothing the law can do to this man. His threats are not just threats, the attorney had said that he would end up most likely having to pay me around close to k monthly, plus divide our assets. I really feel I am going to end up losing everything..Can anyone please help answer my ??? or dilem
