My question is about pain management medication abuse specifically morphine, suboxone.?

My friend was on morphine for 16yrs & was then switched to suboxone for treatment of "chronic pain". I have read on a website that Patients with a clinical need for analgesia should not be transferred to a SUBOXONE regimen. SUBOXONE is not indicated for pain management. I read his medical notes a Dr & Physcologist said they thought his symptoms were physcosamatic & he had "early physcosis". Basically the notes indicate that he just kept saying he had pain & no medical reason was found & they put him morphine. Another dr trf him to Subutex 5yrs ago. His family said he was selling half his medication (when he was on subutex). He does seem out of it a lot - do these medications give you a high if you don't really have pain?
