Is there a difference between oxycodone and oxycodone HCL?

I have taken Percocet, which is the brand name of oxycodone before...and I know one version contains tylenol, and another doesn't. On the bottle of the one that doesn't it says oxycodone HCL 5mg, while the other bottle says 5mg oxycodone/325mg aceteminiphine (tylenol)...I just want to know if oxycodone HCL is any different than the oxycodone in the combo one?
