What are the long term affects of Oxycontin use?

I have been using 40mg per day of Oxycontin ( oxycodone) for around 6 months now. While the increase in quality of life as a result of the medication is undeniable, I am now addicted, so I am worried about the long term affects. Thank you for any help you may be able to give
