will sims 3 run on a 2.0 gHz processor?

i have a dell inspiron 15 and it has a Dual Core T4200 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/1MB cache prossesor and this version of vista: Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic Edition SP1. i've heard that it crashes when it does have the required amount but i was wondering if that is just in some computers
