I'm am definitely a fan of the mac, but i have heard really good things about alienware, and the hardware I could get for the same price as a mac is unmatchable. The thing that makes me iffy is the weight, the durability, ease of use, portability, how long it'll last, and the resell value. I've never actually even seen a alienware in real life, but it looks pretty awesome. I've had a macbook pro thought and they are pretty amazing. I'm not really worried about the price and whether I'd even be gaming on it, since I am a little more of a student and picture/movie editor that a computer gamer. Is alienware even good for anything other than gaming? I just wanted a second opinion, so your comparisons and what not would be really helpful.
