en weaned on 'high tech' and digital.Retro has always been popular throughout the generations, as people like to revive the ideas of fashionable individuals. The imagination of contemporary designers are often sparked by products, music and fashion influenced by bygone eras. Retro telephones are no exception to the rule. These items of style are a 'must have' for any fashion-conscious home. One of my favourites is the Dreyfuss 500 black retro phone. Henry Dreyfuss designed and introduced it in 1949, and saw it become the most commonly use phone in the USA. You can get it in white, black or chrome, and it uses a standard plug socket. To avoid creating a large hole in the wall, avoid walking from room to room and just stick with your bog-standard BT phone!Other retro items that caught my attention were their hot water bottle range. In my household they used to be monotonous objects manufactured in two or three colours and dug out of the airing cupboard for a few weeks in cold s
nap. But look at these funky styles, shapes and colours. Great fun! There is definitely a range of designs that would suit anyone within my family. One of my favourites is the Zebra style, manufactured to bio-degrade. I particularly feel good about the fact that it is still summer time, and I have already solved my first Christmas present headache.
