Freezing Weather Causing Many Homes To Be Without Heating Oil

With the freezing weather sweeping across the country there were fresh concerns as many homes are now facing the prospect of having no heating oil. There has already been one oil company that simply cannot keep up with the oil demands. This company are finding it extremely tough to keep up with the increase in oil orders and residential homes are bearing the brunt of this. And because they had to cancel some deliveries of oil, some residents in Berkshire have been left without any heating oil for over a month.The company has assured its customers that they are working flat out to try to get orders filled as soon as possible and have apologised for these lengthy delays. There are worries though, that this trend could begin to spread to other parts of the country as the cold weather further tightens its grip across parts of the United Kingdom.The freezing conditions and icy roads were once again a concern this week as fresh snow fell and again turned to ice overnight. acherous roads are making it dangerous for oil delivery lorries to try to get to some parts of the country.So oil companies are facing difficulties on two sides as they find it hard to get to some areas and they are facing increased demands for oil due to the weather. It is becoming more and more difficult for customers to reach oil companies now as they are being swamped with new orders. Some orders from customers are not even getting placed as they simply cannot get through to the company.The government is doing all it can to try to reduce these problems with oil delivery drivers being permitted to work longer hours by the Department For Transport in order to get orders out. Some parts of the country were beginning to get back to normal when snow began to fall again and many are now wondering how long these conditions are likely to last.Getting the home heated up during winter can be very expensive. Electricity and gas prices are very high and show no signs of coming down
any time soon. Savvy people are changing over to oil as a home fuel though. After the changeover they have to make sure that the storage tanks are always full of heating oil to make sure they don't run dry in the cold weather.
