Is there a difference between OxyContin and Oxycodone?

I've heard that there is, and then some of the sites I've read say that there isn't, I know that people will pay alot of money for oxycontin and I've taken Oxycodone before for a broken hand, and they seemed alright. I'm just wondering because we got into a debate about it at school, I also know that they're both opiates, but is one stronger?
