What are the uses of RADIANT HEAT apart from tradional uses i.e. heating floor, ceiling, rooms, de-fogging etc?

Apart from room heaters, pre-start car heating, military uses etc. Please reply me if any one knows more than what I intend to ask. Any domestic use, industrial use, social use, professional use would help in my studies and research. Thanks.
