How does ecstasy effect the body?

I know that it raises the body temperature, but how does that effect your organs and thermoregulation?
Just to let you know, I don't do drugs and especially not ecstacy. I am doing a report on what it does to your body but I can't find anything on what the rise in temperature does to your internal organs.
