how far apart do holes ahve to be with tirmidor treatment?

I just had my home treated for termites. They drilled holes 12 inches apart along my front concrete porch. It is very unsightly and I had it done for home sale from home inspection. I was very dismayed at the look of concrete after treatment was performed. Is this the norm?
